The following is a list of statistical consultants who can help you in downloading, formatting, reshaping, or analyzing data. If you need assistance in identifying and locating data, contact a subject specialist.

There are two full-time consultants and one part-time graduate student assistant. We are recruiting a few more graduate students to join the team - please email data@princeton.edu if you are interested in applying or have questions about the position. You must be a Princeton graduate student to apply.


Oscar Torres-Reyna; (otorres@princeton.edu)

Office: Firestone Library, A-7-C
Expertise: Stata, SPSS, MatLab, Excel
Background: Oscar is PhD candidate in Political Science at Columbia University, has an M.Phil. degree in political science and a MPA in economic policy/analytic techniques from Columbia University. He also holds a diploma in applied statistics from ITAM (Mexico City), and a BA in economics from UNAM (Mexico City). Worked for two Mexican presidents, a secretary of state, a USA corporation and several research departments at Columbia University.

Background: Alexis has a Doctorate in sociology from the University of Texas at Austin. Her undergraduate degree, also in sociology, is from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. Alexis had worked in the evaluation field for six years before coming to Princeton.

Weicheng Lian

Expertise: Stata, MatLab, Excel
Background: Weicheng is a graduate student in economics at Princeton University. He graduated with an honor from Peking University with a Master's degree in economics. He holds a BS in physics from Peking University. He has won a number of awards, including the first prize in China Economic Research Scholarship.

Juan M. Ortner

Background: Juan is a graduate student in economics at Princeton University. He has an MA and BA in economics from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has worked as an analyst at Federico Munoz y Asociados, World Bank, and at ASIGNET in Buenos Aires.
