Topics covered included: admissions to hospital (routine & emergency); organization of care & treatment; waiting time; courtesy of & confidence in medical & nursing staff; privacy; noise; cleanliness of bathrooms & lavatories; medical consultations; medicines & treatment prescribed and whether enough information & guidance were provided; choice & decision-making with regard to admission & treatment; clinical tests performed; information received by families & persons close to respondent, and respondents' demographic characteristics.
