Company-level data on 146,000+ firms in 143 countries (emerging markets and developing economies). Data are used to create indicators that benchmark the quality of the business and investment climate across countries. Also known as 'Micro-Enterprise Survey', 'Financial Crisis Survey', 'Investment Survey', 'Business Environment and Enterprise Performance Survey', and 'Informal Survey'. Registration is required.
As part of the efforts of the World Bank Group to understand the impact of COVID-19 on the private sector, the Enterprise Analysis unit is conducting follow-up surveys on recently completed Enterprise Surveys (ES) in many countries. These short surveys follow the baseline ES and are designed to provide quick information on the impact and adjustments that COVID-19 has brought about in the private sector. Included were General information of a firm/ establishment: sales and supplies; production; labor; finance; policies; expectations; and information on permanently closed establishments.
