Aimed to know and compare the social participation and values defended by university students aged 18 to 24 in Brazil and Portugal. The representative sample consisted of 605 university students, of which 380 were from a private university located in Fortaleza, CE, Brazil, and 225 were from a private university located in Funchal, MA, Portugal. The instrument used in data collection was a validated questionnaire on Values, adapted from the European Values Study, consisting of 39 questions, grouped into 6 dimensions of values: Individual Well-being; Interpersonal Relationships; Social Participation; Ethics and Sense of Life; Family and Sociopolitical Values. These include issues such as: human values, traditional values and perception of social injustice. The collection was carried out between April and August 2017.
