Monitors notifiable infectious diseases in humans in Norway. Data are submitted to the system by doctors and laboratories. The NIPH/FHI disseminates MSIS statistics by year in annual reports, and via customizable tables from the MSIS online Statistics Bank. Tables can be downloaded starting from 1977 (2005 for chlamydia) by disease, month and year of diagnosis, age, county, and place of infection.
