The survey was conducted in 1963-1973. Collected demographic data from the Bushmen of the Kalahari Deselt of Botswana, including fertility, mortality, and marriage patterns of the famous !Kung hunter-gatherers. Scope includes reproductive histories of women, and extensive variables on first through fifth marriage, including husband's marital history, place of residence before and after the marriage, fertility, polygany, leviriate, venereal disease, termination of marriage and details of complete pregnancy history. Also a census of individuals: estimated year of birth, sex, migration status for all !Kung and collected data on height and weight measurements: sex, year and season of birth, weight, height, skinfold measurements, arm circumference. Note that multiple measurements were taken for some individuals.
