Initiated in 1951. Carried out nearly every year through 2004. Provided reliable data on the Greater Detroit community. Each survey probed a different aspect of personal and public life, economic and political behavior, political attitudes, professional and family life, and living experiences in the Detroit metropolitan area. Included The Detroit Arab American Study (DAAS) (2003). Also see the Detroit Metro Area Communities Study (DMACS) which began in 2016.
