This study examines the role of psychosocial factors in adherence to physical distancing. Adherence was assessed through the rate of non-work, non-household contacts. Two cohorts were studied: adults with children and adults at least 50 years old.
Geographic Coverage: Iowa, MinnesotaCollection Dates: 4/13/2020 – 5/23/2020Universe: Cohort 1: Adults living in MN or IA with a child <18 years old in the home. Cohort 2: Adults in MN at least 50 years old.Data Type: survey dataMethodology
Response Rate: Cohort 1: 2400 screened, 1105 consented, 997 completed enrollment survey, 996 provided info on contacts
Cohort 2: 1000 invited, 358 consented, 339 completed enrollment survey, 338 provided info on contactsSampling: Cohort 1: Convenience sample recruited through social media.
