The World Bank has provided support to countries to help mitigate the spread and impact of COVID-19. A key area of support is data collection to inform evidence-based policies to help mitigate the effects of this disease. In the Philippines, 3 rounds of phone surveys have been implemented to monitor the socio-economic impacts of the pandemic. Succeeding rounds are planned to further document these impacts as well as recovery. These will be included in future version updates of this series.
The Philippines COVID-19 Households Survey 2020-2021 covered the following themes:
Household: interview information, housing characteristics, government action, awareness and behavior on COVID-19, access (transportation, food, health services, education, finances), income sources, coping mechanisms and safety nets
Individual: interview information, demographics (respondent and household head), employment (respondent and household head)
