The People and Nature Survey for England (PaNS), conducted by Natural England, gathers evidence and trend data through an online survey relating to people’s enjoyment, access, understanding of and attitudes to the natural environment, and its contributions to well-being. The survey began in 2020. Information is gathered from adults (16+) across England through an online panel and respondents are also asked about their children’s experiences of nature. The survey builds on the Monitor of Engagement with the Natural Environment (MENE) survey which ran from 2009 to 2019. To obtain a free account please register with the UKDA.
