- Description
Big Local is a long-term, place-based funding programme in England aimed at empowering residents in selected communities to lead local change, build community capacity, and improve outcomes for people living in their areas. Each area was tasked with forming a partnership, the majority of whom were residents of the Big Local area, to lead decision-making on how the £1million of funding would be spent over a ten to fifteen-year timeframe.
Big Local Partnership Reviews, 2015-2024 includes responses to a series of surveys distributed to Big Local partnerships every year from 2015 to 2023. The partnership reviews were completed by Big Local partnerships as a whole, rather than being completed by individual partnership members.
The primary purpose of these surveys was to review the membership and demographics of Big Local partnerships. In addition, in recent partnership reviews, partnership members were asked to reflect on various aspects of their partnerships' functioning, such as decision-making, consultation with the wider community and the values they upheld.
The Big Local Partnership Member Surveys, 2016-2024 are also available. They include responses to a series of surveys distributed to partnership members every 2 years from 2016 to 2024 inclusive. The surveys were designed to capture the perspectives and experiences of partnership members who played a central role in shaping, governing, and delivering Big Local activity at the neighbourhood level. To obtain a free account please register with the UKDA.
