- Description
The National Gambling Support Network Data Reporting Framework (DRF) comprises two sets of anonymised datasets capturing treatment and support activity within the National Gambling Support Network (NGSN), formerly known as the National Gambling Treatment Service. The NGSN was a nationwide network of organisations commissioned by the charity GambleAware, prior to its cessation of operations, to provide support for individuals affected by gambling-related harm.
All data were provided by NGSN providers and relates to adults aged 18 and over who accessed NGSN support and treatment services in Great Britain.
The first set of data mainly contains referrals received between April 2015 and March 2021, although some records fall outside this period, and comprises five tables/datasets: Person, Referrals, Gambling History, Gambling Activities, and Appointments. The second set of data mainly contains referrals received between April 2021 and March 2026, but also includes some records dating back to 2015. It includes 2 additional tables/datasets, Care Plan and Modalities, and more granular coding.
Together, the datasets supported consistent reporting across commissioned providers, enabling national monitoring of gambling related harms, routes into support, treatment outcomes, and service activity across the NGSN.
